Starting Today, Seniors Aged between 65 and 74 can apply for Withdrawal of Funds from Individual Accounts of Non-Mandatory Central Provident Fund System

The second phase of fund withdrawal applications for this year’s special allocation of budget surplus for individual accounts of non-mandatory central provident fund system has commenced.  Starting today, eligible seniors who are aged between 65 and 74 can apply to the Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) for withdrawal of funds, and the money will be transferred on November 23 at the earliest for the approved applications.

Since last month, the FSS has been accepting applications for withdrawal of funds in stages by age from eligible individual account owners of the non-mandatory central provident fund system.  29,571 applications have been received so far.  Among those who have submitted applications and are approved, seniors who are aged 75 years or older, individuals who have received disability pension from the FSS for more than one year, and those currently receiving special disability subsidy from the Social Welfare Bureau will receive the money on October 23 by bank transfer.

Starting today, seniors who are on the list and aged between 65 and 74 will receive the application forms for withdrawal of funds which are mailed by the FSS. The above individuals can apply through self-service machines set up at various districts of Macao, or they can submit the completed application forms to the following locations, and the money will be transferred on November 23 at the earliest.

(1)   Temporary office of the FSS at Tap Seac (the bus stop of Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion is in front of the entrance to the temporary office);

(2)   Service Centre of the Macao SAR;

(3)   Public Services Centres under the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau;

-          Central District Public Services Centre;

-          Islands District Public Services Centre;

-          Islands District Public Services Centre (Seac Pai Van Station);

(4)   Social service centres under the Social Welfare Bureau (until September 30);

(5)   The former Southern District (Praia do Manduco) Social Service Centre (until September 30).

The account owners can withdraw funds from their individual accounts only once a year.  To check the name list of 2018 special allocation from budget surplus of the non-mandatory central provident fund system or to get more information, please visit the FSS website or call 2853 2850 during office hours.
