Beginning from today, elderly aged between 65 and 74 can make withdrawals from Provident Fund Individual Accounts

The second phase for making withdrawals from the Provident Fund Individual Accounts this year has been launched.  From now on, elderly included on the list, who are aged between 65 and 74, can submit their application forms to the Social Security Fund (FSS).  For approved applications, the individuals concerned will receive the money on 18th November at the earliest. 

Beginning from last month, the FSS started to receive the applications for making withdrawals of the eligible Provident Fund individual account owners in stages by age group.  To date, nearly 20,000 application forms were received in total.  For individuals who have submitted their applications and aged 75 or above, those who have been receiving disability pension from the FSS for more than one year and those who are receiving special disability subsidy from the Social Welfare Bureau (SWB), they will receive the money through bank transfer on 21st October. 

Within a week from today, individuals included on this year’s list, who are aged between 65 and 74, will receive the application forms mailed by the FSS for making their withdrawals.  Beginning from this month, they can return the duly completed application forms to the FSS Headquarters, Areia Preta Service Centre of MSAR (Area of Social Security and Employment), two Public Service Centres of the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) or five Social Service Centres of SWB (Table I), or apply for making withdrawals through the self-service kiosks set at 30 locations, including the Headquarters and external service locations of the FSS and the SWB, designated external service locations of the IACM, the Financial Services Bureau Building and its Taipa Service Centre, the Pension Fund, the lobby of Hospital Conde S. Januário, seven district health centres, ports of entry of the Border Gate (Portas do Cerco) and the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal and the ground floor of China Plaza Building. (Table II).   The individuals concerned will receive the money on 18th November at the earliest.
