The Social Security Fund (FSS) today (December 9th) unveiled a self-service for the beneficiaries of the FSS to apply for the certificate of contribution. Members of the public can apply for certificate of contribution through self-service machines, printed with FSS logo, located at 31 locations in Macao.
The beneficiaries of the FSS can apply for the certificate of contribution through the self-service machine simply using their personal Smart ID Cards. The steps are as follows: click “Application for the Certificate of Beneficiary’s Contribution” on the screen, select the language, then insert the Smart ID Card, and scan the fingerprint according to the instructions on the screen. When the machine successfully verifies the fingerprint of the beneficiary, the screen will show the collection date of the certificate. Beneficiaries may choose, according to their personal needs, the language of the certificate and the location for collection. Then enter the local mobile phone number (optional). After confirming all information correct and read the important information, click “Confirm Application” and the procedures are completed. The self-service machine will then print out a receipt and on the date of collection, the beneficiary can come to the selected FSS service point to collect the certificate, bringing along his/her Macao SAR Resident ID Card, revenue stamps (please purchase from the Financial Services Bureau in advance) and the receipt.
In addition, beneficiaries can also apply for the certificate of contribution by filling out a paper application form, then submit the application to the FSS Head Office, FSS China Civil Plaza Office in NAPE or Areia Preta Service Centre of MSAR (Area of Social Security and Employment), either in person or ask someone to do it for them. The relevant identification documents must be ready on application. Under normal circumstances, the certificate of contribution can be collected after 3 working days after the submission of application (exclusive of the date of submission).
