The Social Security Fund (FSS) announced that the interest income of Provident Fund Individual Accounts this year has already been transferred, on 4 September, to the eligible individual accounts.  The yield is 0.1693% (i.e. 2.0316% in terms of annual interest rate) and the income calculation period is from September 2013 through August 2014.  Beginning from tomorrow (5th September), members of the public can check their individual account balance through the FSS website at www.fss.gov.mo, or by calling the 24-hour interactive voice response hotline at 2823 0230 from 11th September onwards.

The interest income of Provident Fund Individual Accounts is generated from fixed deposits with banks, and the income distributed to the individual account equals the yield multiplied by the sum of the account balance on the last day of each month within the income calculation period.
