Introduction
To facilitate Macao residents living and working in the Chinese Mainland, the Macao Social Security Fund and the Financial Development Bureau of the Guangdong–Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, together with Chinese Mainland financial regulatory authorities, have upgraded and expanded the previously launched “Guangdong–Macao Pension Link” pilot measure. The enhanced “Guangdong–Macao Pension Link+” enables Macao social security benefits to be transferred directly across the border to residents’ bank accounts in the Chinese Mainland, free of handling charges and without the need to travel back and forth repeatedly, greatly benefiting Macao residents living in Guangdong Province.
