The Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) said that this year’s interest income of Provident Fund Individual Accounts had been transferred to eligible individual accounts on September 8th. The yield is 0.1363% (i.e., 1.6356% in terms of annual interest rate). The income calculation period began in September 2015 and ended in August 2016. Starting today, members of the public can check their individual account balance from the FSS’ website at www.fss.gov.mo/en/eservice/r3, or beginning on September 12th, call the 24-hour interactive voice response hotline at 2823 0230.
The interest income of Provident Fund Individual Accounts is generated from time deposits in banks and the income distributed to individual accounts equals the yield multiplied by the sum of account balance on the last day of each month within the income calculation period.
