The Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) announced that the interest income of the Provident Fund Individual Accounts this year had already been transferred to qualifying individual accounts on September 7th. The yield is 0.1814% (i.e., 2.1768% in terms of annual interest rate) and the income calculation period is from September 2014 through August 2015. Beginning today, members of the public can check their individual account balance from the FSS website at www.fss.gov.mo, or beginning on September 11th, call the 24-hour interactive voice response hotline at 2823 0230.
The interest income of Provident Fund Individual Accounts is generated from fixed deposit with banks and the income distributed to the individual account equals the yield multiplied by the sum of the account balance on the last day of each month within the income calculation period.
