This month-end is the closing date for entries of the drawing competition for primary and secondary students about financial management “Start financial management from childhood prepares for the future”

Hosted by the Social Security Fund (FSS) and co-organized by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ), the Macau Financial Development Centre and the “macau.creatives”, the entries for the drawing competition for primary and secondary students about financial management “Start financial management from childhood prepares for the future” will be closed on 28 September. The FSS calls on students who are interested in taking part in the competition to grasp the time to sign up as soon as possible.

The drawing competition for primary and secondary students about financial management “Start financial management from childhood prepares for the future” aims to encourage children and teenagers to develop good saving habits and correct attitude of managing their finance from childhood. Attractive prizes are waiting for the winners. In each category of primary group, junior secondary group and senior secondary group, there are a champion, a first runner-up and a second runner-up, who will be awarded with a trophy and book vouchers of 3,000, 1,500 and 1,000 patacas respectively. There are 10 merit awards and 20 finalists in each group. Each merit award winner and finalist will be awarded with book vouchers of 300 and 100 patacas respectively.

Regarding the form of competition, primary student entrants are required to colour on the picture printed on the A3 paper provided by the organizer, as well as to make additional drawing on the reserved space so as to enrich the content of the original picture, whereas the junior secondary and senior secondary entrants create their own works on a white A3 drawing paper. The types of paints used and the forms of drawing are not restricted, but the content must tie in with the theme of the competition. Only one entry per entrant will be accepted.

The regulations of the competition, entry forms and drawing sample for primary group are available at the FSS Head Office (Address: Rua Eduardo Marques, no. 2-6, Macau), Area of Social Security and Employment Services in the Areia Preta Service Centre of Macao SAR (Address: Rua Nova de Areia Preta, no 52, Macau), DSEJ Centre of Experimentation for the Youths (Address: Rua Filipe O’Costa, Pavilhão Polidesportivo Tap Seac, Macau) during office hours or can be downloaded from the FSS website at www.fss.gov.mo (the drawing sample for the primary group must be printed on a white A3 paper). The completed entry form, together with the entry, can be submitted to any one of the three locations above.

The results of the competition will be announced in late November 2012, and the winners will be notified individually by phone.
