Beneficiaries of the FSS Can Start or Suspend Payment of Contributions of the Arbitrary System through Self-Service Machines
2019-07-15

The Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) launched a new service this month for members of the public to start or suspend payment of contributions of the arbitrary system through self-service machines.  Beneficiaries already enrolled in the Social Security System can start or suspend payment of the quarter’s arbitrary system contributions using self-service machines printed with FSS logo and set up at more than 40 locations in Macao.

The steps to start or suspend payment of contributions of the arbitrary system through a self-service manner are simple.  Beneficiaries only need to insert their Macao SAR Resident ID cards into a self-service machine and verify the fingerprint, then select the relevant service, enter the month of the current quarter that you want to start or suspend payment of contributions, and the mobile phone number for receiving mobile text messages (SMS) in order to complete the application procedures.  Beneficiaries can also handle the related service through other channels, which include logging in the “Acesso Comum aos Serviços Públicos” or ePass account to do it online, or by mail, fax, and email or in person at a service point of the FSS.

You can also handle a number of social security services through self-service machines, which include checking and printing your personal social security system contribution records for the last five years, providing the proof of life, applying for a certificate of beneficiary's contribution, paying contributions of the arbitrary system, and checking the name list of fund allocation of the special allocation from budget surplus for the Non-Mandatory Central Provident Fund System, checking the balance of your government-managed sub-account and applying for the withdrawal of funds.

Members of the public who want to learn more about the Social Security System can visit the website of FSS at www.fss.gov.mo, or call 2853 2850 during office hours for enquiries.
