FSS to Announce in Mid-June the List of Special Allocation from Budget Surplus of Non-Mandatory Central Provident Fund

2024-04-29

According to the Executive Order No. 72/2024 published in the Official Gazette of the Macao Special Administrative Region on 29 April 2024, the Non-Mandatory Central Provident Fund System’s individual account owners who meet the statutory requirements will receive in 2024 a special allocation from budget surplus, with the amount of 7,000 patacas.

The Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) said that the list of special allocation from budget surplus will be announced at roughly the same time as in the past, which is expected to be in mid-June.  Residents are advised to pay attention to the news from the FSS.  On the day of list announcement, various arrangements such as filing the objection statement and fund withdrawal will be introduced in detail.

According to Article 40(1) of Law No. 7/2017 (Non-Mandatory Central Provident Fund System), if the budget execution for previous fiscal years allows, special allocation from budget surplus can be made.  The special allocation from budget surplus and related amounts are determined by the Executive Order published in the Official Gazette of the Macao Special Administrative Region after listening to the opinions of the Financial Services Bureau.
