Announcement of Incentive Basic Fund List 2023 of the Non-Mandatory Central Provident Fund

The Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) announced the list of incentive basic funds allocated in 2023.  A total of 9,749 non-mandatory central provident fund’s account owners eligible for the first time are on the list.  Those who have already been distributed the funds before are not entitled to the funds again. In addition, in order to provide more convenient services to those who need to file an objection statement about the list, account owners who were outside Macao for the three statutory reasons can file an objection statement through the "Macao One Account".

The list of incentive basic funds for 2023 was announced today (20 June).  According to the provisions of Article 39, paragraph 1, of Law No. 7/2017 (Non-Mandatory Central Provident Fund System), the account owner who was still alive on 1 January 2023 and also satisfied all the following requirements in 2022 for the first time, his/her individual account will be injected 10,000 patacas, without the need to go through any formalities:

  1.  He/she must be a permanent resident of the Macao SAR;
  2. He/she must have attained 22 years of age;
  3. He/she must have stayed in the Macao SAR for at least 183 days.

Account owners who were in Macao for less than 183 days in 2022 because of the statutory reasons can file an objection statement.  To simplify the procedures and facilitate the public, if an account owner is outside Macao due to the three statutory reasons below, he/she can file an objection statement through the “Macao One Account”:

  1. He/she studied outside Macao for higher education courses
  2. He/she attained age 65 and habitually resided in mainland China
  3. He/she worked outside Macao in order to bear the living expenses of relatives in Macao

In addition, accounts owners who were outside Macao for other reasons, or those who need can fill in the relevant forms and submit them together with the supporting documents to a service point of the FSS, or a Public Services Centre under the Municipal Affairs Bureau.  Before going through the relevant procedures, residents may get a ticket or make an appointment through the "Macao One Account" mobile app or website (https://booking.gov.mo).
