Contribution Month Deadline Extended to End of February, FSS Calls on More Use of Electronic Payment Channels

2023-01-17

The deadline for paying the contributions of long-term employees for the fourth quarter of 2022, the employment fee for non-resident workers, the contributions of casual workers for December 2022, and the arbitrary system contributions for the fourth quarter of 2022 of the Social Security System will be extended to 28 February 2023.  The Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) calls on employers who use the Electronic Filing Service or who have no staff change during the quarter, as well as beneficiaries of the arbitrary system, to use various electronic methods as much as possible, such as the online banking or the "Macao One Account", for payment of contributions, which is time-saving and convenient.

Employers who have applied for the use of Electronic Filing Service should pay attention to the filing deadline.  They are advised to pay contributions, and the employment fee for non-resident workers through the AutoPay.  With the Employer Registration Number and the Payment Advice Number, employers who have not applied for the use of the Service and have no staff change during the quarter can use the designated online banking to make the payment.  The Payment Advice Number and the amount payable for the relevant quarter can be checked from the FSS’s online platform (https://eservice.fss.gov.mo/Employer/cpa/Index?culture=en) before 28 February; other employers can make their payment at a service point of the FSS.

With the Macao SAR Resident ID Card number, beneficiaries of the arbitrary system may log in to the "Macao One Account" mobile app or website, and use the GovPay’s electronic payment tools, MPay and credit card to pay the arbitrary system contributions, which is convenient and fast.  Payment can also be made through electronic channels and counters of designated banks, JETCO network ATMs, self-service machines with the FSS’s contribution label, Municipal Affairs Bureau’s Public Services Centres and Sub-Stations, as well as a service point of the FSS.

To save waiting time, residents who need to go to a service point for making a payment, they can make an appointment in advance through the “Macao One Account”, or get a ticket number online.  For more information, please visit the FSS’s website at https://booking.gov.mo/uniqweb/?language=en, or call 2853 2850 during office hours for enquiries.
