Social Security Fund Adds a New Service for Applying for Services Related to the Contributions of the Arbitrary System Using an ePass Account
2018-06-05

The Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) today launched a new electronic service of the arbitrary system.  Residents can use their ePass accounts to apply online for enrollment in the arbitrary system, starting or suspending the payment of arbitrary system contributions and to download the contribution payment advice.

ePass is an e-service access account which can be applied for free.  Users can use the ePass’ e-services of different government departments after logging in with their accounts.  Eligible residents can log in to the related web page of the Social Security Fund’s website (www.fss.gov.mo/en/eservice) with their personal ePass accounts to apply online for enrollment in the arbitrary system by entering their identity and contact information, declaring their stay in Macao and uploading a photocopy of their Macao SAR Resident ID cards in order to complete the formalities.  After becoming a beneficiary of the arbitrary system, you can also download in the contribution month the contribution payment advice that you are required to pay, and apply at any time to start or suspend the payment of contributions of the current quarter.

Since 2015, the FSS has been collaborating with the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau to develop various electronic social security services that can be handled through an ePass account.  At present, residents can apply for a certificate of beneficiary’s contribution through their ePass accounts and check their personal detailed social security information, including the social security system’s contribution and benefit payment records of the last five years, the proof of life record, and the non-mandatory central provident fund system’s individual account.

All Macao residents aged 18 or older can apply for an ePass account for free.  Applicants only need to bring a valid Macao SAR Resident ID Card to apply in person at the following locations during office hours, including the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau, a service point of the FSS, the Service Centre of the Macao SAR, the Central District Public Services Centre, the Islands District Public Services Centre, the Macao General Post Office, and the Post Offices at Red Market (Almirante Lacerda), Carmo or Seac Pai Van.

For enquiries, please call 2853 2850 during office hours, or visit www.fss.gov.mo/en/eservice for more information on social security online services.
