Name List of Incentive Basic Funds 2021 for the Non-Mandatory Central Provident Fund System Announced

2021-06-16

In accordance with the provisions of paragraph 1 of Article 39 of Law No. 7/2017 (Non-Mandatory Central Provident Fund System), the Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) will distribute one-time incentive basic funds to 9,008 non-mandatory central provident fund’s account owners who are eligible for the first time.  Those who have already been distributed with the incentive basic funds before have no right to be distributed again.  Affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the SAR Government’s fiscal revenue in 2020 has fallen sharply and no surplus has been recorded for budget execution.  Therefore, there is no condition for special allocation of budget surplus in 2021.

The name list of incentive basic funds for 2021 was announced today (16th June). According to paragraph 1 of Article 39 of Law No. 7/2017 (Non-Mandatory Central Provident Fund System), an account owner who was still alive on 1 January 2021 and met all the following requirements in 2020 for the first time, his/her individual account can be injected with 10,000 patacas as the incentive basic funds of 2021.  The account owner is not required to go through any formalities:

  1. The person must be a permanent resident of the Macao SAR;
  2. The person must have attained 22 years of age;
  3. The person must have stayed in the Macao SAR for at least 183 days.

Account owners who stayed in Macao for less than 183 days in 2020 for statutory reasons may file an objection statement. They only need to fill out the relevant form and return it to a service point of the FSS, together with supporting documents. They may get a ticket number in advance or make an appointment through "My Government Account of Macao SAR" mobile application or the website (https://account.gov.mo).

Residents may check the allocation of incentive basic funds through the FSS’s website at www.fss.gov.mo, the 24-hour voice hotline at 28230230 or call 28532850 during office hours for enquiries.
