The Social Security Fund (FSS) reminds members of the public that for individuals who need to claim their rights to special allocation from 2012 budget surplus (formerly known as the “appropriation for the central savings system”), they should submit their claims before December 31 this year.  Please note that claims made after the deadline will not be accepted. 

In accordance with the provisions oaf paragraph 3 of Article 12 of Law 14/2012, Provident Fund Individual Accounts, the prescription of the right to the entitlement of special allocation from budget surplus is three years, counting from December 31 of the year of fund allocation.  Therefore, for individuals who are not included on the list of fund allocation for the year 2012, they should submit their claims to the FSS on or before December 31 this year if they want to claim their right to the fund allocation.  Claims made after the deadline will not be accepted. 

To check the status of your provident fund individual account, you may call the 24-hour interactive voice response hotline 28230230, check from the self-service machines, call 28532850 during office hours, or visit the St. Lazarus Parish Field Office of the FSS or Areia Preta Service Centre of Macao SAR (Area of Social Security and Employment).
