Application for a Certificate of Benefit Payments

Formalities and Required Documents

The applicant can apply, either in person or through a representative:

  1. Fill out the Application for a Certificate of Benefit Payments ; (The form is available at all service points of the Social Security Fund or can be downloaded from the Social Security Fund’s website).
  2. Present the original or photocopy of the applicant’s Macao SAR Resident ID Card;
  3.  If the applicant authorises someone to submit the application on his/her behalf, the person submitting the application must present the original or photocopy of his/her identification document and a photocopy of the applicant’s Macao SAR Resident ID Card.

2. Macao Government Services Centre (Social Security Affairs)

3.Macao Government Services Centre in Islands (Social Security Affairs)

Fees

The stamp duty is paid at the time of collecting the certificate. (The stamp duty for the first page of certificate is 15 patacas, and each continuation page is 5 patacas.)

Time Required to Process

The approval process of the application will be completed within three working days after the submission of application together with the required documents (exclusive of the day of submission).

Remarks/Points to Note

The certificate of benefit payments will be retained for six months, counting from the first day available for collection.  The application will be cancelled if no one comes to collect the certificate within the time limit.

Check the progress of application and collect the service result

The way(s) to collect the service result: The applicant can collect the certificate of benefit payments, either in person or through a representative, at the location that he or she has selected on the application form.

Collect the service result:

  1. Present the original or photocopy of the applicant’s Macao SAR Resident ID Card;
  2. The receipt issued at the time of application;
  3. If the applicant authorises someone to collect the certificate, the representative must present the original or photocopy of his/her identification document and a photocopy of the applicant’s Macao SAR Resident ID Card.  The back page of the receipt must have the applicant’s signature that matches the one on the identification document.
