
According to Order No. 6/2004 issued by the Secretary for Economy and Finance, the "Employment Assistance and Training Regulations" (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations") have been established. The Regulations stipulate that the Social Security Fund will provide subsidies to assist local unemployed persons with employment assistance and training, to complement the employment support measures provided by the Labour Affairs Bureau, such as vocational training and job referral services, thereby aiding local unemployed persons in re-entering the labour market.
- Subsidy for unemployed persons participating in training
- Subsidy for hiring unemployed persons
- Subsidy for hiring youth seeking employment for the first time
- Subsidy for assisting unemployed persons with disabilities to get employment
The Regulations aim to increase the number of jobs. Therefore, implementing this scheme must not result in replacing existing employees of the business with those who are hired under the provisions of this scheme.
