FSS reminds members of the public that July is a contribution month and they must pay contributions on time

2014-06-26

The Social Security Fund (FSS) reminds members of the public that July is a contribution month.  Employers must pay in July the obligatory system contributions for the second quarter of this year for their local employees.  If they employ non-resident workers, they must also pay the employment fee for them as well.  At the same time, beneficiaries of the arbitrary system must also pay contributions to the FSS in July.  Starting from July, members of the public can pay the arbitrary system contributions through more than 700 automatic teller machines (ATMs) printed with the “Jetco” logo, of the six banks in Macao.

In the Social Security System, July is the contribution month for the second quarter of this year.  All employers must pay the obligatory system contributions for their local employees in July.  If they employ non-resident workers, they must also pay the employment fee for them as well.  The contributions can be paid at the FSS Headquarters, FSS China Civil Plaza Office in NAPE and Areia Preta Service Centre of MSAR (Area of Social Security and Employment), in cash or by cheque/cashier order (payable to “Fundo de Segurança Social”).  If there is no staff change of local long-term employees in the quarter, the obligatory system contributions and employment fee for non-resident workers can also be paid at the Islands District and Central District Public Services Centres of the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM), in cash or by cheque/cashier order (payable to “Instituto para os Assuntos Cívicos e Municipais”), or at the nine designated banks (including the Bank of China Macau Branch, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Macau) Limited, Banco Comercial de Macau S.A., Tai Fung Bank Limited, Macau Chinese Bank Limited, Luso International Banking Limited, Delta Asia Bank S.A., Banco Nacional Ultramarino S.A. and Wing Hang Bank Limited) in cash, by cheque/cashier order (payable to “Fundo de Segurança Social”) (the said designated banks only accept the cheques and cashier orders of their own banks), or through account transfer within the same bank.

For beneficiaries of the arbitrary system, apart from the above payment locations, they can also use the autopay service of the designated banks, or through online banking or the ATMs printed with the “Jetco” logo of the Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Banco Comercial de Macau S.A., Tai Fung Bank Limited, Banco Nacional Ultramarino S.A. and Wing Hang Bank, or through “BOC EXPRESS” (self-service machine of the Bank of China).

For more information, members of the public can visit the FSS website at www.fss.gov.mo/en/social/social-mandatoryor call 28532850 during office hours.
