The Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) Promotion Day, organized by the FSS, will be held on this Saturday (14 October) from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m at Jardim do Mercado Municipal de Iao Hon.  The main theme of this year’s event is “Participate in Central Provident Fund System for Greater Peace of Mind in Your Retirement”.  The event will introduce the contents of non-mandatory central provident fund system to the residents through exhibition panels, booth games and drama, etc.  The activities there include a retirement assessment station, fun zone for kids’ coloring, 3D photo taking, and onstage performances.  All the young and old members of the family are welcome to come over and learn more about their own retirement protection.

The contents of the themed exhibition of the FSS Promotion Day are about the non-mandatory central provident fund system that will come into force on 1 January next year.  There will be staff members from the FSS to introduce the information about the FSS to the residents, and promotional materials will be available there too.  In terms of onstage performances, the FSS has invited a local drama group － Dream Theater Association － to write a drama for introducing the two-tier social security system to the residents in a lively and interesting way.  On that day, "A Pou" and "Kam Chai" － the mascots for the first-tier social security system and the second-tier non-mandatory central provident fund system respectively － will appear and meet with the residents.  In addition, the local singer, AJ, will perform onstage singing and a group of children from Macao International Oriental Dance Association will also give the residents a wonderful and lively belly dance performance.  Mr. Rafe Chan, Director of Macau Financial Development Centre, will preside over the retirement assessment station to assess the living expenses of the residents when they retire and provide them with financial tips.  In addition, residents can also participate in booth games, take photos with A Pou and Kam Chai and check in on the social networking website to get exquisite gifts.
