The second stage of applications for withdrawal of this year’s special allocation from budget surplus to the provident fund individual accounts is now underway.  Starting today, eligible seniors between 65 and 74 years of age may apply to the Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) for the withdrawal of funds.  For approved applications, the money will be deposited into the related bank accounts on 23 November 2017 at the earliest. 

Last month, the FSS began accepting applications, in stages by age group, for the withdrawal of funds from eligible provident fund individual account owners.  Up to now, a total of about 25,000 applications have been received.  For those who have submitted the applications, if they are aged 75 or older, or they have been receiving disability pension from the FSS for more than one year or they are currently receiving special disability subsidy from the Social Welfare Bureau (SWB), they will receive the money via bank transfer on 24 October 2017. 

For seniors who are included on the list and aged between 65 and 74, today they will start to receive the application forms for the withdrawal of funds mailed by the FSS, the above individuals can apply through self-service machines set up at 45 locations in all districts of Macao, or return the completed application forms to the following locations.  The money will be deposited into the related bank accounts on 23 November 2017 at the earliest.

(1)       Temporary office of the FSS at Tap Seac (located at the Exhibition Hall of Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion and the entrance is next to the bus station);
(2)       Service Centre of the Macao SAR;
(3)       Public Service Centres under the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau;
(4)       Social Service Centres under the SWB (until 30 September 2017).
