Stamp Duty for Social Security Fund’s Certificate can be Paid in Cash
2016-07-25

In order to optimize administrative procedures for certificate application, the Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) launched a stamp duty collection service on July 4th this year.  Applicants simply need to pay the stamp duty directly in cash when they collect the certificate, thus saving a trip to the Financial Services Bureau (abbreviated to DSF in Macao) for the purchase of tax stamp.

Under the current law, members of the public who apply to the FSS for the Certificate of Employer’s Contribution, Certificate of Beneficiary’s Contribution and Benefit Certificate must pay a stamp duty.  The amount of stamp duty is 15 patacas for the first page and 5 patacas for each continuation sheet.  After the FSS introduced the stamp duty collection service, applicants are no longer required to buy tax stamps from the DSF for payment.  To collect the certificate, they simply need to pay the stamp duty directly in cash.

For further enquiries, members of the public may call 2853 2850 during office hours or visit the FSS’ website at www.fss.gov.mo.
