The FSS Office at Tap Seac to Resume Services Next Week and Contribution Period Further Extended to Mid-March

2020-02-15

From 17th February, the Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) will resume basic services to the public at its temporary office at Tap Seac.  However, residents are still advised to cooperate with the appeal of the SAR Government and try to stay at home and choose to handle their social security services by electronic means.  If residents need to visit the FSS office in person, please make an appointment in advance using their “Conta Única de Acesso Comum” accounts.   The FSS also further extends the deadline for payment of contributions for the fourth quarter of 2019, employment fee for non-resident workers, and the contributions of casual workers for December 2019 and January 2020 to 16th March, allowing employers more time to handle the related services.

The FSS will resume basic services to the public at its temporary office at Tap Seac from 17th February (Monday).  However, since the number of reception counters and personnel will be reduced appropriately, residents are advised to choose electronic means for handling their social security services.  If residents need to visit the FSS office in person, please make an appointment in advance using their “Conta Única de Acesso Comum” accounts.  At the same time, the FSS offices located at the 13th floor of Edf. China Civil Plaza at Alameda Dr. Carlos d'Assumpção, the Macao Government Services Centre and the Macao Government Services Centre in Islands will still be temporarily closed.

In addition, the FSS further extends the deadline for payment of contributions for the fourth quarter of 2019, the employment fee for non-resident workers, and the contributions of casual workers for December 2019 and January 2020 to 16th March (Monday), and any late payment interest and fines will be exempted.  The provision of proof of life by beneficiaries of old-age and disability pension can be until the end of March, without affecting the normal payment of their benefits in April.
